Here for our honeymoon….this has been the best first two weeks of marriage anyone could have asked for! The most delectable food and wonderful, friendly and helpful service from everyone. Alfie & Constance, November 2018

Wow! what an amazing house, a five star hotel all to ourselves. The children were delighted with their outside bathrooms with trees in them…Tony, Sarah and family, August 2018

The house is beautiful, the view incredible and all of the staff amazing. Everything you wanted was provided but without any intrusion. To top it up the most perfect little surf spot. Nothing could be better (and I don’t say that often!!). David, Sarah and family, August 2018

Sadly we are back in Australia now however I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed staying at the house! The house is beautiful and so well considered and through out. So peaceful! Suresh, Chandi and the other staff members were amazing! loved the food and the hospitality! we would love to come back again one day. Richard, June 2018

Just to say this is the most Incredible place. The most relaxed holiday we have had with four kids.... Stephanie, April 2018

I wanted to express a really sincere thank you, from all the family.  My six year old loved it.  She spent every minute in the pool.  Ruhunu, Suresh, and everybody were fantastic.  So warm and welcoming.  The food was out of this world.  We all relaxed and have returned super-chilled. Paolo, April 2018

We’ve been back a few days and I just would like to pass on our thanks for the fantastic treatment we had for the days we stayed at Mawella Hideaways (also owned by us) and the Tangalle Beach House. We were all split between which experience we loved the most and who was the helpful but in truth everything and everybody was great.  Barry, April 2018

We’ve been having a wonderful time at the Beach House.  It’s extremely relaxing after a week touring around the Dambulla area and Hill Country.  The house is quite stunning and Ruhunu, Suresh and the team couldn’t have been more helpful. Graeme, December 2017

I am guessing you don’t often get feedback part way through someone's stay but I have to say what an amazing place you have created here. After a very varied and busy first 10 days in Sri Lanka to arrive here and find it exceeded expectations has been just the best way to finish a memorable holiday and completely unwind. Ruhunu and his team could not be more helpful and the food is the best we have had during a trip that already had many memorable meals. I hope our last 2 days go slowly!  Stephen, August 2017

Everything is perfect and we are well taken care of by your sweet and helpful crew.  Thanks for building such a gorgeous house and sharing it.  Leyla, April 2017

I wanted to write and thank you and your staff personally for an exceptional vacation. My husband suffers from early stages of Motor Neurone Disease and your beautifully designed house was the perfect place for him to enjoy the beauty of Southern Sri Lanka. Your pool was perfect for him to step into the water and walk around on his own. Everything was ideal, except that none of us could sleep as much as we are used to sleeping, the scenery and the remarkable energy wafting up from the crashing waves, the sky full of stars at night....it was impossible to shut one's eyes without feeling a sense of waste! Your staff was hugely helpful and incredibly kind. Suresh was attentive to our needs, especially my husband's and Neetha's cooking made us feel at home. We had the most wonderful time and we hope we will be able to come again very soon. It was a brave step for us to make this trip with my husband, but he was rejuvenated and empowered by the easy ergonomics of your beautiful home. Thank you!  Haleh, April 2017

We loved the layout of the villa, the position of the pool overlooking the bay and the fact we didnt have to search for restaurants for dinner.  Jayne, April 2017

We had a wonderful time at your 123 Villa with my family. Your staff was excellent and you have taught them well.  The facilities and architecture are fantastic. Alan, April 2017

Can't tell you how much we're loving the villa. The design, the location, the attention to detail, the staff, the food, everything is amazing!!  Scott, March 2017

Thank you so much for letting us stay at your fantastic villa.  I can't imagine a more relaxing stay anywhere. The team was fantastic and we never lacked anything.  The manager oversaw everything very well and made sure we had things booked in like surfing and yoga.  We went out for one lunch and one dinner but really preferred the food in the villa so didn't venture out too much more.  Freddie, March 2017

I love 123❤ - Staying at 123 was a privilege I will never forget. It was comfortable, laid back, yet fun and adventurous. You are provided with amazing qualities- helpers, a gorgeous pool and Fresh coconuts. Sleeping was easy, mosquitoes are not a problem at night. There is plug in mosquito repellent and the house is closed up at night. Throughout the day it is always open because the house is practically the outside. The wildlife and the views bring it all together and I am often found in the pool staring out to the ocean. Ada (aged 11), Jan 2017

We have seen 123 grow from an idea to completion. Everything is perfect. The lines, the shadows, the pool, the views, nature on your doorstep. Walking out from my room in the morning and being greeted by peacocks and kingfishers and watching my husband surf across the bay. So cool! The food was amazing. My mother in law felt safe and my daughters had a ball. That's about all one could ask for. A completely satisfying and relaxing holiday. A place for one family or two. Plenty of privacy and plenty of places to gather. Kate, Jan 2017

The house was based in a stunning location above a beautiful and untouched area of Sri Lanka with a view that is simply outstanding from sunrise to sunset.  The incredible open plan house allows for comfortable lounging inside and sunbathing outside while overlooking the fabulous infinity pool.  The rooms offer privacy and comfort along with the unique twist of all having an outside waterfall shower to bathe in under the palms.  My friends and I had an incredible stay and enjoyed it so much that we've left a present for the owners.  Freddy, Sept 2016

If you want a truly relaxing, super comfortable and indulgent few days in the sun then the House would be hard to beat. From the moment you go through the huge door and see the beautiful building, amazing infinity pool and glorious view in front of you it is tempting to go no further.  I spent a wonderfully relaxing week lying by the pool, reading for a while and then taking a dip to cool down (the pool's also long enough to do lengths and proper exercises), watching the fantastic sunsets, indulging in delicious home-cooked Sri Lankan curries, occasionally walking over the headland and along the beach to the Amanwella Hotel for cocktails, and taking a tuk tuk to nearby Mawella beach to swim and body surf.  The bedrooms are super comfortable and I loved the open air shower rooms, each with its own huge palm tree.  In fact the styling of the whole place is amazing, with attention to detail in everything.  We did go to Galle - recommended for a bit of history and culture...and jewellery shopping!  But generally you are so well looked after at the House that you barely need to leave. A great place to recharge your batteries!  Tessa, May 2016

We had a wonderful week at the Tangalle Beach House.  The property itself - which is every bit as fabulous as the pictures suggest - invites lying about idly, and we did a lot of that.  But the food was so good we needed to take some exercise in order to make space for more of it.  So we swam in the fabulous 17m lap pool (this is actually exercise!), and learned to surf with Bandula and his team at his nearby Bandula Surf School, who were simply wonderful.  We also took a trip into Galle, and did a bike ride through the paddies with Idle Bikes (highly recommended), and swam and boogie boarded (and ate lunch) at Mawella Beach.  This is that rare thing:  a swimmable beach in Sri Lanka.  Really, the staff at the House could not have been more helpful:  they arranged everything, and whistled up food, surfing, tuk tuks and cars as we needed them.  On one occasion, when we couldn't get a tuk tuk, the manager borrowed his friend's tuk tuk and drove us himself.  We had a lovely family time, everyone did a bit of something they liked, and we all came home extremely relaxed and wondering when we could go again.  Lucy, April 2016

I really enjoyed staying at the house. when you first come up the road and look at the House it looks amazing even before you have opened the gate doors. As soon as you open the gate the staff are waiting with chains of banana leaves and flowers and a freshly squeezed juice, and then you look out at the view, at the ocean crashing on the rocks and beaches. The food there is incredible, which was a surprise until we found out that the chef came from working at a 5 star hotel to work now at the house.  He does Sri Lankan food but if you don't like Sri Lankan food then he can cook you up an amazing omelette and whatever is your heart's desire.

There are also tons of activities you can do there like surfing, boggie boarding, visiting the town, lounging by the pool, going to the beach etc I loved staying there and i hope everyone enjoys staying there as much as i did.  Thank you!  Lara (age 11), April 2016

I know it’s a cliché, but this place really is a hidden paradise.   Wiggling up the narrow lane up to the house gives you few clues of what’s to come.    But walk through the doors from the drive and there before you is a view you will never tire of, a beautifully designed house and a spectacular infinity pool.  The house is cleverly designed as an ‘inside outside’ space – to maximize the views and the sea breeze – and also give you plenty of choice as to where to lounge about reading your book…. By the pool (where there are more than enough sunbeds and palm trees for shade), on one of the enormous sofas where you still get the sea view, or separate from the action in the shaded seating area.  The peace & tranquility is eased along by lovely staff, who also make delicious Sri Lankan food and the best lime sodas ever!.  We pottered about watching the waves on the rocks below the house, swam at lovely, unspoiled Mawalla Beach (just a short walk or tuk-tuk ride from the house), wandered through the village and along the beach to the Amanwella hotel for cocktails, took a trip into Galle for shopping & dinner, visited a fascinating tea plantation and went up into the hills for lunch.  And finally, I have to mention the inside-outside en suite bathrooms.  There’s nothing like showering under a starry sky!  This is R&R central & we loved it.  Joanna, May 2016

A real last minute surprise holiday ended at the Tangalle Beach House.  We went up a track, round a corner to a white wall with the house itself hidden behind.  The visual wow factor of the house and setting exceeded all expectations.  Garlands of flowers put round our necks by the lovely staff followed by delicious lime cocktails sitting on the deck. The house is modern (white paint and lots of glass) but lovely and flowing with the beautiful infinity pool (fab slate lining) running the length of the house looking down to the beach below and out to sea.  Amazing open air bathrooms with palm trees in them.  Fabulous food appeared in the evenings and we were well looked after during the day.  Great beaches to wander along...all perfect.  A day trip to Galle is a must but take a credit card for the fab jewels!  Tea plantation worth a visit for the Virgin Tea (look it up, because it's a bit of an eye-opener!). I gather that air con is being put in the bedrooms which will make life even more perfect.  Judy, May 2016
